For 25 years I lived with the debilitating effects of ME and fibromyalgia. The constant exhaustion, pain, and limitations left me feeling trapped — as though my body was stuck in a cycle it couldn’t escape.
My healing began when I discovered EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). Tapping helped me dissolve the emotional and energetic blocks that were keeping my body in survival mode. Each session released layers of old trauma, fear, and beliefs that I didn’t even realise I was carrying. As those patterns softened, my energy began to return and my body started to feel freer.
At the same time, I explored bodywork therapies that supported my physical body in letting go of deep-held tension. Through myofascial release, meridian tapping, and energy-based approaches, I found ways to calm my nervous system and restore flow where it had been frozen.
It was the combination of EFT and bodywork that truly changed everything. EFT cleared the emotional roots of my illness, while bodywork supported my physical body to release and realign. Together they allowed my system to reset, opening the door to healing after decades of being stuck.
This is why my work today is so deeply holistic. I know first-hand that true healing happens when we address not just the body or the mind alone, but the whole person — body, mind, emotions, and energy.

The silent counselling that Emily did really helped me calm down and feel less anxious. I was quite confused at first and the process was made very simple for me. I felt very relaxed as the process went on and afterwards I felt so relaxed. My anxiety in terms of schoolwork is quite severe and Emily helped me manage that in our limited time. I found the sessions interesting and unusual. I really did not know what to expect. I had done very little tapping before but I do practice yoga and understand about the powers of directional breathing and mental attitude. During the session I felt my whole body warmer, blood flow increased and extremities tingling pleasantly. During both sessions I yawned a lot, which I understand it to be a good sign. Before the second session my stomach was quite bloated and uncomfortable. However, by the end of it I felt better, no discomfort, warmer and certainly more relaxed. I slept about 9h after both sessions and feel calmer.
I have many health issues at present and do value anything which can bring me some relief or comfort which I do feel these sessions have provided. Long term, only time will tell. But if yoga technics are anything to compare with, it will require continued practicing.

I found the two sessions intriguing and a personal challenge, Silent Counselling!
As a therapist I am aware and familiar with the concept and the reality of supportive healing through just being there for someone, offering gentle guidance as needed or a reassuring touch.
Emily most definitely offered both to me during our sessions. Even more amazing as this was achieved via Zoom appointments.
She just has this way of reaching out and holding through her compassion and passion in her voice and visual presence. And of course her ability to ‘read the room’ and respond accordingly.
During our sessions I found her to be clear in guiding me through the process, with the awareness at which pace to go, allowing me the moments needed between each of the techniques; in other words, I didn’t feel rushed. I was allowed to breathe, I was allowed to (silently) express if a particular exercise warranted my staying with it a bit longer, I felt guided and not forced to focus on what at those moments was in my thoughts and to allow the process to see me through in moving it out; giving my emotions space and relief through expelling the ‘stuckness.’
Now, on reflection, this Silent Counselling breath work & tapping actually makes more sense to me and I appreciate its ability to encourage and support one’s journey to finding balance.
